Indications

Wegovy is indicated as an adjunct to a low-calorie diet and increased physical activity for weight management in adults with obesity (body mass index [BMI] ≥30 kg/m²) or overweight (BMI ≥27 kg/m²) who have at least one weight-related comorbidity. Its use is recommended in patients who have not achieved adequate weight reduction through diet and exercise alone. Additionally, Wegovy can help control blood glucose in adults with type 2 diabetes, in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, when adequate control is not achieved with these treatments.

Composition

Each ml of Wegovy contains 1.0 mg of Semaglutide. Excipients are: water for injection, sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment.

Contraindications

Wegovy is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Semaglutide or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of pancreatitis or in those with certain types of cancer, such as medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, as Wegovy may cause adverse effects in this system. Likewise, renal function should be monitored, as alterations may occur. The use of Wegovy is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Storage

Store refrigerated between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
