Indications
Vydura is indicated for the treatment of migraine in adults. This medication acts as a CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) receptor antagonist, helping to relieve acute migraine episodes. Its use is recommended for patients experiencing episodic migraines, providing fast and effective relief from associated symptoms such as headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Vydura should be administered according to the treating physician's instructions, considering the patient's medical history and the frequency of migraine episodes.
Composition
Each Vydura tablet contains 75 mg of rimegepant as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and other excipients.
Contraindications
Vydura is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to rimegepant or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions or angioedema. Furthermore, it should not be administered during pregnancy or lactation, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled hypertension. Likewise, it is important to assess renal and hepatic function before initiating treatment with Vydura. Patients should be informed about the possibility of adverse effects and the need to report any unusual symptoms to their doctor.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
