Indications
Vuminix is indicated for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults and children over 8 years of age. It is also used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, major depressive disorders, and in the management of social phobia symptoms. Its action is based on the selective inhibition of serotonin reuptake, which contributes to mood regulation and anxiety reduction.
Composition
Each Vuminix tablet contains 100 mg of Fluvoxamine as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, lactose, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Vuminix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fluvoxamine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of mania or hypomania.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disorders, as well as in elderly patients. Medical supervision is essential at the initiation and discontinuation of treatment. During Vuminix treatment, symptoms of suicidality should be monitored, especially at the beginning of treatment or when making dose changes.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep in a dry place and out of the reach of children.
