Indications

Voltaren 24H Patch is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including pain associated with conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis, bursitis, and muscle pain. This medication works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which reduces inflammation and relieves pain. Its use is recommended for localized pain where topical application may be more effective and have fewer systemic effects compared to oral formulations. Additionally, it can be useful in the management of postoperative pain and sports injuries.

Composition

Each patch contains 15 mg of diclofenac in a base suitable for the controlled release of the active ingredient.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any of the excipients present in the patch. It should not be administered to patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or inflammatory bowel disease. Its use is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment, as well as during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Voltaren to patients with a history of cardiovascular or gastrointestinal diseases. It is advisable to assess renal and hepatic function before starting treatment. The patch should be applied away from damaged or irritated skin areas. In case of adverse reactions, the patch should be removed and a doctor consulted.
