Indications

Folic acid is a B-complex vitamin primarily used to prevent and treat folate deficiency in the body. Its use is recommended in the following cases:

  • Prevention of neural tube defects in the fetus during pregnancy.
  • Treatment of megaloblastic anemia caused by folic acid deficiency.
  • Support in DNA synthesis and cell division, especially during periods of rapid growth such as infancy and pregnancy.
  • Nutritional supplement for patients with conditions affecting nutrient absorption, such as celiac disease or inflammatory bowel disease.

Composition

Each capsule contains 390 mg of folic acid and excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in cases of:

  • Hypersensitivity to folic acid or any of the formula's components.
  • Anemia not caused by folic acid deficiency, as it may mask vitamin B12 deficiency.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
