Indications

Visannette is indicated for the treatment of dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) and for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome. In addition, it is used as a hormonal contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. This medication works by inhibiting ovulation and altering cervical mucus, which hinders the passage of sperm. It can also decrease the amount and duration of menstrual bleeding. Its use must be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will evaluate the suitability of the treatment according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each tablet contains 2 mg of Dienogest as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Visannette is contraindicated in women with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, active liver disease, breast cancer or hormone-dependent organ cancers, and in those who are allergic to the components of the formula. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women without evaluation and authorization from a doctor.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with hypertension, diabetes, migraines, conditions that predispose to thrombosis, as well as in those who smoke. It is essential to follow medical instructions and attend regular check-ups to monitor health status during treatment.
