Indications
Virlix Solution is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal and ocular itching. It is also used in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, relieving itching and skin redness. Cetirizine acts as a selective H1 histamine receptor antagonist, thus effectively reducing the allergic response. Its use is recommended under medical supervision, especially in patients with a history of respiratory diseases or those who require careful control of their allergic symptoms.
Composition
Each ml of Virlix Solution contains 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation. It is recommended to review the labeling for detailed information on the excipients used.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cetirizine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency without proper medical evaluation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, as well as in those with hepatic insufficiency. The use of cetirizine in combination with alcohol or sedatives is not recommended, as it may enhance sedative effects. Likewise, it is suggested to avoid use in vehicle drivers or heavy machinery operators due to the possibility of drowsiness.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
