Indications

Virlix (Cetirizine) is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal and ocular itching. It is also used in the management of chronic idiopathic urticaria, relieving itching and skin redness. Cetirizine works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance the body produces during an allergic reaction, which helps reduce allergy symptoms.

Composition

Each Virlix tablet contains 10 mg of Cetirizine dihydrochloride as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Virlix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cetirizine, to other antihistamines of the same class, or to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment or in those with uncontrolled seizures or seizure disorders.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Virlix to patients with a history of urinary retention, narrow-angle glaucoma, or liver disease. Likewise, it is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may enhance the sedative effects of Cetirizine. Patients should be warned about the possibility of drowsiness, and it is advisable to avoid activities requiring attention and concentration until their individual effect is known.

Storage

Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
