Indications

Vilona Pediatric Drops is indicated for the treatment of viral infections, especially those caused by the hepatitis C virus, in combination with other antiviral medications. It can also be used in the management of certain viral respiratory infections, such as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection in pediatric patients. The administration of this medication must be under strict medical supervision, ensuring continuous evaluation of the treatment response and the appearance of possible adverse effects.

Composition

Each ml of Vilona Pediatric Drops contains 40 mg of Ribavirin, in addition to excipients that favor the stability and administration of the product.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ribavirin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to the potential risks to the fetus or infant. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe heart disease or severe renal failure.

Precautions

Close monitoring is recommended for patients with a history of heart disease, as well as those with hepatic or severe renal impairment. Ribavirin can cause anemia, so periodic blood tests are recommended to evaluate hemoglobin levels. In addition, alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
