Indications

Vilona Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by viruses, specifically in the management of dermal lesions produced by the herpes simplex virus and the varicella-zoster virus. It is also used in the treatment of certain viral conditions that affect the skin, facilitating recovery and mitigating the symptoms associated with these infections. Its use is recommended under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the need for treatment and its duration.

Composition

Each 100 grams of cream contains 7.5 grams of ribavirin as an active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, propylene glycol, glycerin, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ribavirin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in patients with autoimmune diseases or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, due to possible adverse effects on the fetus or infant.

Precautions

Vilona Cream should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. It is important to perform a prior medical evaluation to rule out any condition that could aggravate the patient's situation. Furthermore, special care should be taken when using the medication on extensive areas of the skin or on open wounds, as it may increase the risk of side effects.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
