Indications
Vick Vaporub is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion and cough associated with colds and flu. Its formula combines camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus, which act synergistically to provide a sensation of freshness and decongestion. It is recommended to apply the product to the chest and throat to help soothe the cough and facilitate breathing. Additionally, its use can be beneficial in cases of nasal congestion, relieving pressure in the upper respiratory tract.
Composition
Each 100 g of Vick Vaporub contains: 4.8 g of camphor, 2.6 g of menthol, and 1.2 g of eucalyptus oil, as well as necessary excipients for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be applied to open wounds or irritated skin, or near the eyes. Its use is not recommended for children under two years of age.
Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or adverse reaction, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor. It is recommended not to apply in large quantities and not to use in combination with other topical products without the supervision of a healthcare professional.
