Indications
Vick Miel Syrup is indicated for the treatment of productive cough associated with colds and respiratory disorders. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant that helps to loosen and expel mucus from the respiratory tract, facilitating breathing and improving the expulsion of secretions. This medication is useful in conditions such as bronchitis, common colds, and other respiratory conditions where a wet cough is a predominant symptom. Its use is recommended in patients who experience congestion and difficulty clearing mucous secretions.
Composition
Each 100 ml of syrup contains: Guaifenesin 1.6 g. Excipients: purified water, sorbitol, flavorings, among others.
Contraindications
Vick Miel Syrup is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to guaifenesin or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age. Patients with severe lung diseases or swallowing problems should consult a doctor before use.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney or liver problems, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with guaifenesin. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen after several days of treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
