Indications
Vick Act 7 is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with colds and allergies. This medication combines four active ingredients: Paracetamol, which acts as an analgesic and antipyretic; Caffeine, which enhances the effect of paracetamol; Phenylephrine, which acts as a nasal decongestant; and Chlorphenamine, which is an antihistamine that helps relieve allergy symptoms. It is recommended for cases of fever, mild to moderate pain, nasal congestion, and sneezing. Its use is appropriate for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Composition
Each tablet contains: - Paracetamol 500 mg - Caffeine 25 mg - Phenylephrine 5 mg - Chlorphenamine 4 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of severe liver diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, and in patients taking MAO inhibitors. Likewise, its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, liver or kidney problems. It is important to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Additionally, prolonged use of the medication without a doctor's supervision should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
