Indications
Viagra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. Erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Sildenafil, its active ingredient, works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which allows for the achievement and maintenance of an erection. This medication is effective only with sexual stimulation and does not cause a spontaneous erection.
Composition
Each Viagra tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Viagra is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to sildenafil or any component of the formula, as well as in those who use nitrates in any form, as the combination can cause a severe drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as recent heart attack or uncontrolled heart failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, erectile problems of non-psychological origin, or in those suffering from liver or kidney diseases. A complete medical evaluation should be performed before starting treatment. The use of Viagra is not recommended in patients who are not adult males.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
