Indications
Viagra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. This medication works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps to achieve and maintain an erection adequate for sexual activity. It is important to note that Viagra is only effective in the presence of sexual stimulation and should not be used in the absence of such stimulation. Composition
Each Viagra tablet contains 100 mg of Sildenafil as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other components that ensure the stability and effectiveness of the medication.
Contraindications
Viagra is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to Sildenafil or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in combination with nitrates, as this can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, severe hepatic insufficiency, or those who have recently had a myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Viagra to patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or who are being treated with antihypertensive medications. A medical evaluation is recommended before starting treatment to rule out any contraindications or interactions with other medications. Likewise, the doctor should be informed of any pre-existing medical conditions.
