Indications

Viagra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. This medication works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which facilitates an erection. It is important for the patient to receive a medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause of erectile dysfunction and the suitability of sildenafil treatment.

Composition

Each Viagra tablet contains 100 mg of sildenafil as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Viagra is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to sildenafil or any of the medication's components. It should not be used by men with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure or unstable angina, and in those who are being treated with nitrates, as this can cause a severe drop in blood pressure.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart problems, hypertension, or hypotension. A medical check-up is recommended prior to using the medication to rule out any contraindications or interactions with other drugs. Likewise, the doctor should be informed about any other treatments the patient is following.
