Indications
Vesicare is indicated for the treatment of urinary incontinence and urinary urgency in patients with overactive bladder. Solifenacin acts as an antimuscarinic, blocking muscarinic receptors in the bladder, which results in a reduction of muscle activity and, therefore, decreases the frequency of involuntary contractions. It is intended for adults and is particularly useful in those experiencing symptoms that affect their quality of life, allowing better management of urinary urgency episodes and thus improving bladder function.
Composition
Each Vesicare tablet contains 10 mg of solifenacin. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
Vesicare is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to solifenacin or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in patients with urinary retention, closed-angle glaucoma, or myasthenia gravis. Likewise, its use is not recommended in those with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and those at risk of urinary retention. Renal and hepatic function should be evaluated before starting treatment. It is important to monitor patients to adjust the dose as needed and prevent adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
