Indications
Verquvo (Vericiguat) is indicated for the treatment of adults with chronic heart failure and reduced ejection fraction, in patients who have recently been hospitalized for heart failure decompensation or who have required diuretic treatment due to a worsening of their condition. Verquvo therapy is considered an additional option to standard treatments to improve cardiac function and quality of life in these patients, helping to reduce the risk of hospitalization and cardiovascular death.
Composition
Each Verquvo tablet contains 10 mg of vericiguat as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, talc, magnesium stearate, and other inactive excipients.
Contraindications
Verquvo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vericiguat or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with systolic blood pressure below 100 mmHg and in those receiving nitrates or nitric oxide donors, due to an increased risk of hypotension.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Verquvo in patients with a history of hypotension, renal or hepatic dysfunction. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and renal function is recommended during treatment. Its use in combination with other medications that may cause significant hypotension should be avoided.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in its original packaging and protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
