Indications

Verquvo (vericiguat) is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure in adult patients who have been stabilized after a heart failure hospitalization or intravenous diuretic treatment. This medication acts as a soluble guanylate cyclase stimulator, which helps improve heart function and reduce the risk of heart failure hospitalization. Verquvo is part of a comprehensive approach that includes lifestyle modifications and other medical treatments for the management of heart failure.

Composition

Each Verquvo tablet contains 5 mg of vericiguat as the active ingredient. Excipients: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Verquvo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vericiguat or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with systolic blood pressure below 100 mmHg and in those receiving nitrates or nitric oxide donors, as this may potentiate the hypotensive effects of the treatment.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of hypotension, renal or hepatic insufficiency. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment. Dose adjustment should be considered in elderly patients or those with concomitant medical conditions.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
