Indications
Vermox Suspension is indicated for the treatment of helminth infections, specifically in the management of ascariasis, enterobiasis, trichuriasis, and hookworm. This medication works by interfering with glucose absorption in parasites, leading to their death. It is used in pediatric and adult patients and can be effective in eliminating multiple parasitic infections. The use of Vermox is essential in cases where the prevention of reinfection and the eradication of parasites are necessary.
Composition
Each mL of suspension contains 20 mg of Mebendazole, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Vermox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mebendazole or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy and in patients with severe liver diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver disease, as well as in those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is important to perform medical monitoring to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment and the possible need for additional doses. Likewise, the possibility of adverse reactions or interactions with other medications that the patient is taking should be considered.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
