Indications
Vermox is indicated for the treatment of intestinal infections caused by helminths sensitive to its active ingredient, Mebendazole. It is effective in eliminating intestinal worms, such as Enterobius vermicularis (pinworms), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworms), Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworms), and Trichuris trichiura (whipworms). Its use is suggested in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of these parasitoses, as well as in those who present related symptoms, such as abdominal pain, irritability, and appetite changes. It is important to carry out medical monitoring to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment and the possible need for a second dose.
Composition
Each tablet contains 500 mg of Mebendazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Vermox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mebendazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant women, especially during the first trimester, and in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Vermox to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, as there may be a risk of adverse reactions. Likewise, it is advisable to perform liver function tests in patients receiving prolonged treatment. Use in children under 2 years of age should be evaluated by a doctor.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
