Indications
Ventolin (Salbutamol) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of bronchospasms associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, such as bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis. It is also used as a bronchodilator in emergency situations for the rapid relief of respiratory symptoms. Ventolin administration allows for the relaxation of the smooth muscles of the airways, thus facilitating breathing.
Composition
Each ml of solution contains 5 mg of Salbutamol (as sulfate salt), as well as excipients necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Salbutamol or any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in cases of tachyarrhythmias or in patients with a history of recent myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Ventolin to patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or hyperthyroidism. It is important to monitor cardiac function and blood glucose, as Salbutamol can cause an increase in heart rate and glucose levels. If respiratory symptoms do not improve, a doctor should be contacted immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
