Indications
Ventolin Aerosol is indicated for the treatment of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other conditions where dilation of the airways is required. Salbutamol acts as a bronchodilator, providing relief from respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea, cough, and wheezing. It is especially useful in acute episodes of bronchoconstriction and can be used as rescue therapy for rapid symptom relief.
Composition
Each aerosol dose contains 100 mcg of salbutamol (as salbutamol sulfate) and excipients necessary for the aerosol formulation. It is recommended to check the product packaging for additional information on excipients.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe tachycardia, arrhythmias, or in patients with pheochromocytoma.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and in those with seizures. It is important to monitor clinical response and adjust the dose as needed. Excessive use of the aerosol should be avoided, as it can lead to adverse effects such as tachycardia and tremors.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not expose to temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius. Do not puncture or burn the container, even if empty.
