Indications
Venoferrum is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, especially in patients who require intravenous iron supplementation. It is used in situations where oral iron administration is not sufficient or is contraindicated, such as in patients with gastrointestinal diseases that hinder iron absorption or in those who experience intolerance to oral iron supplements. It is also indicated in cases of acute or chronic bleeding that can lead to significant iron deficiency.
Composition
Each Venoferrum ampoule contains 100 mg of ferric saccharate, in addition to the excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ferric saccharate or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in cases of iron overload, non-iron deficiency anemia, and in patients who present any type of iron utilization disorder, such as hemochromatosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with iron metabolism disorders, as well as in those with liver or kidney diseases. It is important to adequately monitor blood iron levels during treatment to avoid overload. It is recommended to assess renal function before starting treatment. In case of adverse reactions, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
