Indications
Venesden (ramipril) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, as well as for reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients with risk factors. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of heart failure and in the prevention of kidney disease progression in diabetic and non-diabetic patients.
Composition
Each Venesden tablet contains 2.5 mg of ramipril as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Venesden is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ramipril or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatments, in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis, or in cases of severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using Venesden in patients with renal impairment, hepatic impairment, or those with a history of angioedema. During treatment, blood pressure and renal function should be monitored. Likewise, it is important to consider the use of this medication in elderly patients, as well as in those who are taking diuretics or who are dehydrated.
Storage
Store in its original container at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
