Indications
Vastionin is indicated for the treatment of severe nodular acne that has not responded to conventional treatments, including oral and topical antibiotics. Isotretinoin, its active ingredient, works by reducing sebum production in the sebaceous glands, normalizing keratinocyte differentiation, and possessing anti-inflammatory properties. This medication is suitable for patients with cystic acne or those at risk of permanent scarring. It is recommended that treatment be carried out under strict medical supervision, given the drug's potency and its possible side effects.
Composition
Each Vastionin capsule contains 20 mg of isotretinoin, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Vastionin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isotretinoin or any of the excipients. It should not be administered during pregnancy or to women who may become pregnant, due to its teratogenic potential. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver diseases, uncontrolled hyperlipidemias, and in those taking tetracyclines.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of depression or psychiatric disorders, as isotretinoin may exacerbate these problems. It is important to regularly monitor blood lipid levels and liver function during treatment. Women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception during treatment and for up to one month after stopping it.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
