Indications
Varivax is indicated for active immunization against chickenpox in healthy individuals from 12 months of age. Vaccination is especially recommended for those who have not had the disease, including children, adolescents, and adults. This vaccine helps prevent the appearance of chickenpox and its possible complications, such as pneumonia, encephalitis, and other secondary infections. It is suggested that the vaccine be administered according to the current vaccination schedule and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each dose of Varivax contains the attenuated varicella strain (Oka strain) in an adequate concentration to induce an effective immune response. In addition, the product includes excipients that facilitate the stability and effectiveness of the vaccine. Contraindications
Varivax is contraindicated in individuals with a history of anaphylaxis to any component of the vaccine, as well as in those with immunosuppressive diseases or undergoing immunosuppressive treatment. It is also contraindicated in pregnant women and those who have recently received blood transfusions or immunoglobulins.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering the vaccine to individuals with febrile illnesses or moderate to severe acute infections. It is advisable to take a complete medical history to identify possible risks before vaccination. Post-vaccination surveillance should include observation for adverse reactions.
Storage
Varivax should be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light and keep in its original packaging until the time of administration.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
