Indications

Valfoprox is a general anesthetic indicated for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia in surgical and diagnostic procedures. It is also used for sedation in adult patients requiring ventilatory support in intensive care units. Propofol allows for rapid onset of action and rapid recovery, making it ideal for outpatient procedures. Its use must be administered by trained medical personnel, in a controlled environment, where the patient's vital signs can be monitored. Additionally, its use is recommended in combination with other anesthetic agents to improve the quality of anesthesia and reduce adverse effects.

Composition

Each Valfoprox ampoule contains: Propofol 200 mg, excipients q.s.p. 20 ml.

Contraindications

Valfoprox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to propofol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of severe allergic or anaphylactic reactions to propofol. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in patients with severe cardiac dysfunction, hemodynamic instability, or those requiring anesthesia in an environment where adequate monitoring cannot be guaranteed.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological diseases. It is important to evaluate liver and kidney function before administration. The use of Valfoprox must be supervised by trained medical personnel, and preparations must be made to manage possible adverse reactions or complications during and after drug administration.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep away from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
