Indications
Vagitrol-V is indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to its components. This medication is effective in managing inflammatory and allergic conditions of the vaginal mucosa, as well as in relieving associated symptoms such as itching, burning, and discharge. Its use is recommended in cases of vulvovaginitis, dermatitis, and other conditions where a corticosteroid is required to reduce inflammation and improve patient well-being. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment to ensure the medication's effectiveness and minimize the risk of adverse effects.
Composition
Each ovule contains: Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.5 mg and other excipients necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of untreated or undiagnosed vaginal infections, as well as in patients with a history of adverse reactions to corticosteroids.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with systemic or localized diseases that may be aggravated by corticosteroids. It should not be used during pregnancy and lactation unless deemed strictly necessary by the physician.
