Indications
Urifron (Interferon Alfa-2B) is indicated for the treatment of various viral and neoplastic conditions. It is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C, as well as in certain types of cancer, such as malignant melanoma and renal cell carcinoma. In addition, Interferon Alfa-2B has been used in the management of some viral infections, and may be part of a therapeutic regimen for patients with autoimmune diseases. Its mechanism of action is based on the modulation of the immune response, promoting antiviral and antitumor activity.
Composition
Each vial of Urifron contains: Interferon Alfa-2B as the active ingredient, and excipients necessary for the product formulation.
Contraindications
Urifron is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to interferons or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with active autoimmune diseases or those with severe depression or a history of severe psychiatric disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Urifron to patients with heart disease, hematological disorders, and those with a history of seizures. Regular monitoring of liver and blood functions is important during interferon treatment. Administration of Urifron may cause side effects, which should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
