Indications
Ulcodefina Ointment is a medication indicated for the treatment of skin lesions, including ulcers and wounds, that require an environment conducive to healing. It is formulated with collagenase, which promotes the debridement of necrotic tissue, and chloramphenicol, an antibiotic that helps prevent secondary infections in the lesions. This medication is particularly effective in the treatment of chronic ulcers, burns, and surgical wounds, where the reduction of necrotic tissue and the prevention of infections are essential for effective recovery.
Composition
Each 100 g of Ulcoderma contains:
- Collagenase: 0.01 g
- Chloramphenicol: 0.01 g
- Excipients: q.s.
Contraindications
Ulcoderma Ointment is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components, as well as in those who present with severe skin infections that cannot be adequately treated. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions to phenicol antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with autoimmune diseases or those undergoing immunosuppressant treatment, as immune system function may be compromised. It is important to monitor the evolution of the wound during treatment. If signs of systemic infection appear, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
