Indications
Tymbro is indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is primarily used in the management of skin and soft tissue infections, community-acquired pneumonia, and nosocomial pneumonia. Additionally, it is effective in the treatment of vancomycin-resistant enterococcal infections, as well as in cases of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections. Its use should be considered in patients who have failed or are not candidates for other antibiotics. Culture and sensitivity tests are recommended to ensure treatment efficacy.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Tymbro contains 200 mg of Linezolid as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Linezolid or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients who have received MAOI treatment within the last two weeks. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe anemia, leukopenia, or thrombocytopenia, as well as in those with a history of hematological disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Tymbro in patients with a history of hematological disorders, renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those receiving concomitant treatments that may affect hematopoiesis. Hematological function monitoring is recommended during prolonged treatment.
