Indications

Tylenol Pediatric Suspension is indicated for the treatment of pain and fever in children. It is used in situations such as post-vaccination fever, fever associated with viral or bacterial infections, and in the management of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, dental pain, and muscle pain. Paracetamol suspension is generally well-tolerated and is a safe analgesic for use in the pediatric population, providing effective relief when used according to recommended doses.

Composition

Each milliliter of the suspension contains 100 mg of paracetamol as the active ingredient. Excipients include: purified water, glycerin, xylitol, citric acid, and flavoring, among others.

Contraindications

Tylenol Pediatric should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those who consume large quantities of alcohol.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Tylenol Pediatric in patients with liver disease, dehydration, or kidney problems. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose to avoid the risk of toxicity and liver damage. A doctor should always be consulted before starting treatment, especially in patients who are taking other medications or who have pre-existing medical conditions.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, away from direct light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
