Indications

Tylenol 500 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of fever and pain of various etiologies, including headache, muscle pain, dental pain, and dysmenorrhea. Its analgesic and antipyretic action is due to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. In addition, it is frequently used in situations where rapid relief of fever symptoms is required, as well as in the management of mild to moderate pain.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Paracetamol 500 mg. Excipients: corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and other non-active excipients.

Contraindications

Tylenol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe liver disease or liver failure, as well as in conditions of chronic alcoholism.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver diseases, as well as in those who consume excessive alcohol. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is recommended. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose, as it can cause severe liver damage. Likewise, interaction with other medications containing paracetamol should be considered to avoid overdose.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
