Indications
Melox Plus Suspension is indicated for the symptomatic relief of heartburn, dyspepsia, gastric discomfort, and flatulence. Its formulation combines the properties of antacids and antiflatulent agents, providing a rapid and effective effect for the treatment of digestive discomfort. It is especially useful in situations of overeating or in patients experiencing symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux.
Composition
Each 10 ml of Melox Plus Suspension contains:
- Aluminum (as aluminum hydroxide) - 200 mg
- Magnesium (as magnesium hydroxide) - 200 mg
- Dimethicone - 40 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of severe renal insufficiency or in patients with Alzheimer's disease, due to the aluminum content.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with compromised renal function, as prolonged use of aluminum-containing products can lead to the accumulation of this metal in the body. It is recommended to consult a doctor before using this product if pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, it is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to maintain good hydration.
