Indications
Macrozit is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is effective in treating upper respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections, including community-acquired pneumonia. It is also used to treat skin and soft tissue infections, such as those caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Furthermore, Macrozit is effective in the treatment of sexually transmitted infections, such as non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis. Its antibacterial action is based on the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis, which contributes to the elimination of pathogenic bacteria.
Composition
Each Macrozit ampule contains 500 mg of Azithromycin, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Macrozit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, to other macrolide antibiotics, or to any of the components of the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver or kidney disease.
Precautions
Careful monitoring is recommended in patients with liver and kidney impairment. Liver function should be monitored during treatment. In case of severe adverse reactions, discontinuation of treatment should be considered. Avoid concomitant use of medications that may cause QT interval prolongation.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
