Indications
Gynovin is indicated for combined hormonal contraception. It is used to prevent pregnancy in women of childbearing age. Additionally, it may be indicated to regulate the menstrual cycle, treat menstrual disorders, and alleviate premenstrual symptoms. Its use must be supervised by a physician, who will assess the suitability of the treatment according to each patient's characteristics. Gynovin does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.
Composition
Each Gynovin tablet contains 75 mcg of Gestodene and 20 mcg of Ethinylestradiol, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Gynovin is contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, cardiovascular diseases, breast or uterine cancer, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver diseases, and in those who are hypersensitive to any of the components of the formula. Its use should be avoided in women who present conditions that increase the risk of thromboembolism.
Precautions
A medical examination is recommended before starting treatment with Gynovin, as well as periodic follow-ups. It is important to inform the doctor about any pre-existing medical condition, as well as about the use of other medications that may interfere with the efficacy of Gynovin. Patients should be informed about the signs of thrombosis and the importance of seeking immediate medical attention if they occur.
