Indications
Gynotran is indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by susceptible organisms. It is primarily used in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and vaginal candidiasis. The combination of Metronidazole, an antibacterial, and Miconazole, an antifungal, allows for addressing mixed infections and improving treatment efficacy. It is important that the use of this medication be under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will assess the suitability of its use in each particular case.
Composition
Each ovule contains: 750 mg of Metronidazole and 200 mg of Miconazole as active ingredients. In addition, it contains excipients such as gelatin, glycerin, among others, which facilitate the formulation and proper release of the active ingredients.
Contraindications
Gynotran is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy, as well as in breastfeeding women, unless indicated by a doctor. Likewise, its use in patients with severe liver diseases must be carefully evaluated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Gynotran in patients with a history of neurological diseases, as it may present adverse effects in this group. Likewise, it is recommended to avoid the use of intimate hygiene products that may irritate the vaginal mucosa during treatment. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the duration of treatment and the possibility of interactions with other medications.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
