Indications
Arcoxia is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in various conditions, including:
- Rheumatoid arthritis: to reduce the signs and symptoms of this autoimmune disease.
- Osteoarthritis: in the management of pain associated with this joint degeneration.
- Ankylosing spondylitis: for the treatment of pain and stiffness in the spine.
- Acute pain: in the treatment of postoperative pain or musculoskeletal pain.
- Dysmenorrhea: for the relief of menstrual pain.
Composition
Each tablet contains 60 mg of etoricoxib as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, among others.
Contraindications
Arcoxia is contraindicated in patients with:
- Hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any of the excipients.
- History of severe allergic reactions, such as angioedema or urticaria, after administration of other NSAIDs.
- Severe heart failure or uncontrolled cardiovascular disease.
- Active peptic ulcer or history of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those who consume alcohol or have a history of gastrointestinal disease.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
