Indications

Aranesp (Darbepoetin Alfa) is indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic diseases, including chronic renal failure in patients requiring renal replacement therapy and in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. This medication works by stimulating the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, thus improving the body's ability to transport oxygen and, consequently, alleviating the symptoms of anemia.

Composition

Each Aranesp syringe contains Darbepoetin Alfa as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that ensure the stability and efficacy of the product.

Contraindications

Aranesp is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Darbepoetin Alfa or to any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure and in those with anemia caused by iron deficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Aranesp to patients with a history of hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, or those who may have an increased risk of thromboembolic events. It is important to regularly monitor hemoglobin levels and blood pressure during treatment. Additionally, the cause of anemia should be evaluated before initiating treatment with Darbepoetin Alfa.

Storage

Aranesp should be stored in refrigeration between 2 °C and 8 °C. It should not be frozen. Keep the medication out of reach of children and protect it from light.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
