Indications
Aprovel is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Its mechanism of action is based on the antagonism of angiotensin II receptors, which allows for the dilation of blood vessels and, consequently, the reduction of blood pressure. Furthermore, it can be used to reduce the risk of kidney damage in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria. It is important that Aprovel be used under medical supervision, taking into account the patient's medical history and existing comorbidities.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Irbesartan 150 mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, among others.
Contraindications
Aprovel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Irbesartan or any of the excipients that make up the product. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance < 15 ml/min) and during pregnancy, as it may affect fetal development.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Aprovel to patients with a history of renal artery stenosis, renal insufficiency, or those undergoing treatment with potent diuretics. It is advisable to monitor renal function and blood electrolytes, especially at the beginning of treatment or when increasing the dose. The risk of hypotension should be assessed in dehydrated patients or in those with conditions that may cause a decrease in intravascular volume.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
