Indications

Apego (Quetiapine) is indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. In the case of schizophrenia, this medication helps reduce psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations, improving the patient's quality of life. For bipolar disorder, Apego is used in both manic and depressive episodes, helping to stabilize mood and prevent relapses. Additionally, it can be used as an adjunctive treatment in major depressive episodes when other treatments have not been effective.

Composition

Each Apego tablet contains 25 mg of quetiapine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Apego is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to quetiapine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of manic episodes related to the use of other antipsychotics or in those with a high risk of cardiac arrhythmias.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, convulsive disorders, or those taking other medications that may affect the central nervous system. Regular medical monitoring and dose adjustment according to the patient's response to treatment are important.

Storage

Apego should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
