Indications
Antiflu-Des is a drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of various respiratory conditions associated with common colds and flu. Specifically, it is used to relieve fever, pain, and nasal congestion. The combination of amantadine, chlorphenamine, and paracetamol provides a synergistic effect that helps reduce the symptoms of respiratory infection, thus improving the patient's well-being. Amantadine acts as an antiviral and also helps relieve cold symptoms; chlorphenamine is an antihistamine that reduces nasal discharge and itching; while paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic. This product is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Composition
Each 100 ml of solution contains: Amantadine 2.5 g, Chlorphenamine 100 mg, Paracetamol 15 g.
Contraindications
Antiflu-Des is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver or kidney disease, or to those undergoing treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma, or prostate problems. This medication may cause sedative effects; therefore, it is recommended to avoid operating machinery and driving vehicles during its use. In addition, alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it can potentiate the adverse effects of the medication.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
