Indications
Anhigot is indicated for the treatment of intraocular hypertension in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The combination of Dorzolamide and Timolol works by reducing the production of aqueous humor, which helps to lower intraocular pressure. This medication is used in patients who have not achieved adequate control of intraocular pressure with other treatments or who cannot tolerate other medications. Regular monitoring of intraocular pressure and adjustment of treatment as needed are important.
Composition
Each ml of solution contains: Dorzolamide 20 mg and Timolol 5 mg. Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, water for injection.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe bronchial asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block, and in those with uncontrolled heart failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of respiratory diseases, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, or those who are undergoing treatment with other glaucoma medications. Constant monitoring of intraocular pressure and respiratory function is recommended. Use in combination with other systemic beta-blockers is not recommended.
Storage
Store the medication in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
