Indications

Angiotrofin AP is a medication indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and for the control of angina pectoris. Its action is based on the inhibition of calcium channels, which causes relaxation of vascular smooth muscles and decreases peripheral vascular resistance. This medication can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensives to improve blood pressure control in patients with resistant hypertension.

Composition

Each Angiotrofin AP tablet contains 90 mg of Diltiazem as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Angiotrofin AP is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Diltiazem or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with second- or third-degree atrioventricular block, sick sinus syndrome, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, and in those with significant bradycardia.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when using Angiotrofin AP in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of arterial hypotension. Blood pressure and heart rate should be regularly monitored during treatment. Additionally, the possibility of interactions with other medications the patient is taking should be considered.

Storage

Store Angiotrofin AP at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
