Indications

Anfebutamona is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, as well as in the management of anxiety in patients diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. It is also used in the treatment of obesity as part of a weight control program that includes diet and exercise. Its action is based on the inhibition of the reuptake of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine, which helps to improve mood and reduce hunger sensation.

Composition

Each Anfebutamona tablet contains 150 mg of anfebutamona as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other compounds used in tablet formulation.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to anfebutamona or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of seizures, eating disorders, or those who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or kidney problems. It is essential to monitor the patient's condition during treatment, especially in the first weeks of treatment. Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment with anfebutamona.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
