Indications
Anapsique (Amitriptyline) is indicated in the treatment of various mood disorders, including major depression. It is also used for the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and chronic neuropathic pain. In some cases, it may be useful in the management of insomnia and in the treatment of nocturnal enuresis in children. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a physician, who will evaluate the need and adequacy of treatment for each patient.
Composition
Each Anapsique tablet contains 25 mg of amitriptyline as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
It should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to amitriptyline or to any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients who have received monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last 14 days. Its use should also be avoided in cases of recent myocardial infarction and in patients with angle-closure glaucoma.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of heart disease, liver or kidney problems, as well as in those with a history of seizures. This medication may cause drowsiness, so driving or performing activities that require full attention should be avoided. Administration should be supervised in geriatric patients, as well as in those with preexisting psychiatric conditions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
