Indications

Ampliron is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by ampicillin-susceptible microorganisms. These infections may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lower respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Gastrointestinal infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Meningeal infections in pediatric and adult patients.

In addition, ampicillin is used in the prophylaxis of bacterial endocarditis in patients with predisposing heart conditions.

Composition

Each tablet of Ampliron contains:

  • Ampicillin (as ampicillin trihydrate) - 750 mg
  • Excipients: starch, talc, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Ampliron is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ampicillin, other penicillin group antibiotics, or any of the formulation components. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antibiotics.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis, and in those with renal insufficiency. It is important to monitor renal function and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
