Indications

Amoxil Suspension is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to amoxicillin. These infections include, but are not limited to:

• Upper respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis.
• Lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis.
• Middle ear infections (otitis media).
• Urinary tract infections, such as cystitis and pyelonephritis.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.

Amoxicillin is effective against various strains of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and is used in multiple infection treatment protocols. The duration of treatment should be determined by the patient's clinical evolution and the nature of the infection.

Composition

Each 5 ml of suspension contains:

• Amoxicillin trihydrate 250 mg
• Excipients q.s.

Contraindications

The use of Amoxil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, other beta-lactam antibiotics, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in those with a history of severe anaphylactic reactions to penicillins.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. During treatment, it is recommended to monitor renal and hepatic function, as well as the appearance of adverse reactions. In case of developing skin rashes, possible hypersensitivity should be considered and treatment should be discontinued.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
