Indications

Amoxiclav Bid 875 mg/125 mg is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, such as:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections (including sinusitis and otitis media).
  • Lower respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia).
  • Urinary tract infections (cystitis and pyelonephritis).
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Intra-abdominal infections.
  • Dental infections.

Its action is based on the combination of amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and clavulanic acid, which inhibits the action of beta-lactamases, thus extending the range of amoxicillin's activity against resistant bacteria.

Composition

Each Amoxiclav Bid tablet contains:

  • Amoxicillin: 875 mg
  • Clavulanic acid: 125 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or any other component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or previous liver alterations associated with amoxicillin/clavulanic acid administration.

Precautions

This medication should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, as a dosage adjustment may be necessary. Furthermore, it is important to monitor for the possible appearance of adverse reactions, especially during prolonged treatments.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
